Around 6 months ago, I became obsessed with owning a cabin. I’ve spent each morning since looking at cabins on You Tube.
I love the cozy cabin feel.
I love going away for the weekend.
I love being outdoors.
Since I’ve decided to buy a cabin, interesting things started happening. I managed to save over $12,000 in 6 months.
I’ve become more aware of my expenses. I question whether I’m purchasing is bringing me joy or if it’s just another mindless purchase. I’ve limited unnecessary purchases.
With a one income household, I have managed to save over $12,000.
Unfortunately, it’s not enough for a down payment.
One of the other interesting things that have happened is that work’s been slow. This means my stress level is low. When stress is low, I focus more on things I enjoy. Writing is one of those things.
After my 8 month hiatus, I’m back on Medium. My stories have been making some traction since I’ve spent more time engaged on the platform.
I still haven’t made over $47/month. These were my earnings my second month on Medium. Since then, it’s majorly tapered. I’m making roughly $1/month now.
We all have to start somewhere.
My current goal is $50/month. Will this buy me a cabin? Unfortunately no.
My future goal is $1000/month. Will this buy me a cabin? With what I am saving per month now, this will definitely help get me there faster.
My ideal goal is $2500/month. This will get me to the cabin a lot quicker than I planned.
Now that I am working for something, there is no stopping me. Once I am committed, I deliver. We all do. When we work hard, good things happen.
So Medium, let’s get this going. Let’s buy me a cabin.
